Summer temperatures range from 60° F/ 15° C to 70° F/20° C. You can expect rain at any time and it's not unusual to experience all four seasons in one day. The best advice is to be prepared for some rain and don’t expect Mediterranean temperatures.

Spring /Autumn temperatures are generally 50° F/10° C

Winter temperatures between 40° F/5° C and 40° F/8° C. Snow is rare.

Spoken Language in Ireland:

English is spoken primarily with pockets of Irish (or Gaelic) spoken in “Gaeltacht Areas”. Road signage is often in Irish and English.

Visiting a number of the different heritage sites around Kerry can be expensive especially if you have a family. A cost-effective option is to buy a Heritage Card.

A Heritage Card allows the purchaser unlimited free admission to all Heritage Sites managed by The Office of Public Works (OPW) and the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government for one year from the date of first use (with the exception of Muckross Traditional Farms, Killarney).
